As I move towards a new boiler decision, I just got my makeup water test back from Rhomar. Not extreme, but some issues. PH:7.8, Conductivity 530mmhos, Alkalinity: 110ppm, Hardness: 126.67ppm, Chlorides: 83.5ppm, Sulfates: 16ppm. So, hardness is borderline high and chlorides are way above recommended max of 25ppm. Can anyone report success or problems with a stainless steel HX over a period of years using corrosion inhibitors with mod cons? Presumably a yearly check on the inhibitor to water ratio must be made. Assume that the entire system would be cleaned out before installation.
