Trane XR90 condensate fitting?

Trane XR90 was installed with no condensate neutralizer. I am adding one, however the PVC drain tubing outside the furnace is installed tight to a grey fitting, which will probably have to be replaced when I redo the PVC. Is the grey fitting a hardware store part? if so, what is it and what size?
