Just completed my buffer tank add to my system. While it was down I added a S&R zone for possible radiant zone in the kitchen, replaced hand made cush clamps, re-piped water feed to the boiler and cleaned most copper/brass piping & fittings then sprayed with high temp clear coat.
The diamond plate is nice but a pain when soldering - any flux or solder that hit it take the finish away immediately.
Pipe, fittings & hardware prices are really getting crazy...I even considered doing all vent & relief piping for the buffer tank in stainless steel which I probably c![]()
ould've saved 30%+ versus using brass - but aesthetics mean a lot to me!
