Looking for gas furnace options to pair with a Comfort Series 24AAA53 3 ton AC. Looks like you have to step up to the Performance Series furnaces and something like the 58CTW to get a variable speed blower and the variable blower machines have two stage burners. My questions is will something like the 58CTW be as reliable as a single stage furnace? And is there a single stage furnace with a variable speed fan? Our goal is to be able to circulate air and fun air through the furnace filter at low speeds when not running the heater or AC. Also, any problem combining a Performance Series gas furnace with a comfort series AC? We want a simple reliable system that works and is easy to maintain and repair and are not worried about bells and whistles besides a variable speed fan. We're also open to other options such as a bypass air filter that we may not have thought of.
We have a good Carrier dealer in town we like working with and prefer Carrier/ Bryant or Trane/ American standard products but we've had good experiences with the Carrier dealer and were not as comfortable with the Trane dealer visit and quote. The Carrier dealer recommended simple affordable setups and as almost down selling vs the Trane dealer who was pushing upgrades and higher tier equipment. Bryant and American standard have a limited presence here. The dealer is recommended the Comfort Series 58DLA and hasn't installed many 58CTW's. Price between 58LDA and 58CTW isn't an issue.
Thanks!
