Leaky fitting

Hello everyone, I just had my new boiler installed and it’s leaking where it did on the old one. There is a gasket installed, I had to use two last time to get it to stop leaking. Is there something I should be doing differently? Why is it made like this on the bottom of the boiler that it needs a brass adapter?

Boiler is WM AB-155c
